City of Carmine Lifts Water Restrictions
The mandatory water restrictions have been lifted for the City of Carmine. The water well that went down is repaired and back in service.
RT-C School News
Round Top-Carmine JV and varsity volleyball teams host Providence Classical School on Sept. 24 at 5 p.m. They host North Zulch on Sept. 27 at 5 p.m. Jr. High hosts Burton on Sept. 30.
Mrs. Wischnewsky’s class created healthy plate projects in Lifetime Nutrition and Wellness class.
Kids Car & Truck Show
The Classics for Kids Car & Truck Show is this Saturday, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. It is sponsored by the Round Top-Carmine Education Foundation and will be held at the Carmine Hall, 300 N Hauptstrasse. Car and truck registration will be from 8 - 10 a.m. Trophies will be given at 1 p.m.

The cost for registration is $30. Cars and trucks from the years 1999 and older are welcome.

online. There will be goodie bags, food and drinks for purchase and oldies music. It will be held rain or shine. Spectator entry is free. T-shirts will also be available at the show.
All proceeds benefit Round Top-Carmine ISD.
Carmine 42 Club
The Carmine 42 Club met Sept. 4 at JW’s Steakhouse. A delicious meal was enjoyed, followed by six games of 42.
High scoring partners were Jeanette Schoenst and Myrt Meinkowsky with a score of 1787 and they played two hands of 84. Partners Edith Flinn and Linda Mattocks were second with a score of 1743 and they played one hand of 84. LaVerne Albers and Donna Mueller also played one hand of 84. The other partners were Carol Naegeli and Marlene Waak.
The group will meet again on Oct. 2.
Rebekah Group Report
The Martin Luther Lutheran Church Rebekah Group met on Sept. 12 at 2 p.m. Ten members were present. They were Dianna Gerland, Leonita Sanders, Joys Baird, Diana Wunderlich, Susan Ray, Joann Ullrich, Jocie Jacob Braun, Nancy Eilers, Sharon Rhome, and Sedalia Ullrich.
The Bible study theme was “Receiving Grace; A study of Ephesians, Session 1: Is Grace Real?” It was led by Joys Baird.
The business meeting was called to order by President, Susan Ray. The Purpose and Mission Statements were recited.
The minutes of the previous meeting and treasurer’s report were approved as read. Thank you notes were received from Upbring for the money sent there for children; and from the family of Bill Derrick, along with a donation.
Diana Wunderlich reported for Mission Action that fifty quilts, thirty-three school kits, and twenty baby care kits were packed on Aug. 28 for Lutheran World Relief. More quilts are ready to be packed.
Sedalia Ullrich reported for Mission Community that the party at Silversage Brenham Assisted Living went very well. The residents and staff enjoyed singing, having refreshments, and visiting. The party at Bec’s Blessing in Giddings is on Nov. 5 at 2:30 p.m.
Joys Baird reported for Mission Growth that a lot of ladies have asked to have their names removed from the funeral serving groups. The 2025 yearbook will be published in November.
The Thankoffering meal on November 10 will be catered by Wade Weigelt.
Ladies are asked to bring desserts for the Harvest Festival on Oct. 20. Krause Duo will provide the music.
The Crossroads Shared Ministry Reformation service will be held at Lutherhill on Oct. 27. It includes Carmine, Shelby, Round Top, and Waldeck.
Dianna Gerland read the words of the hymn We Give Thee but Thine Own for the offering meditation.
Hostesses were Leonita Sanders and Carol Carmean.
The meeting closed with the Lord’s Prayer and the table prayer was sung.
Ledbetter Firemen’s Feast
The Ledbetter Volunteer Fire Department’s annual Firemen’s Feast will be on Saturday, Oct. 5 at Ledbetter Firemen’s Park.
Enjoy Bingo from 4-6 p.m.
A fried chicken dinner will be served from 5-7 p.m. Cost is $15 per plate. Desserts will be sold by the Ledbetter Homemakers Club.
A live auction begins at 6:30 p.m.
Proceeds from the gun raffle are for restoration of the Ledbetter Firemen’s Hall.
The Round Top Hermann & Sons Lodge will sponsor a Country Store.

Confirmation class is Wednesday from 4:15-6:15 p.m. AA meets Saturday at 8:30 a.m. Saturday worship with Holy Communion observing the St. Michael and All Angels Sunday is at 6 p.m. Sunday School is Sunday at 9 a.m. Sunday worship with Holy communion is at 10 a.m. The Rev. David Tinker is the pastor.
Visitors’ Center
The Carmine Chamber of Commerce Visitors’ Center at the restored Train Depot is open on the second Friday and Saturday of the month from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
