Chuck Mazac Named to Rotary’s Roll of Fame
La Grange Rotarian Chuck Mazac was named to the 2023 “Roll of Fame” by Rotary International District 5870 at its recent district conference in Corpus Christi.
A former president of the La Grange club, Mazac was one of 11 honorees, introduced by Roll of Fame chair Bernie Satterwhite of Flatonia. The district includes 57 Rotary clubs in the area from Corsicana to Yoakum.
“When Chuck moved to La Grange in 2007, he promptly joined the Rotary Club, becoming an enthusiastic Rotarian. That enthusiasm has never failed,” Satterwhite said.
A broker with Edward Jones Financial, Mazac served as president for 2012--13, the first year the club had ever distributed more than $35,000 in local and global charitable expenditures. He also has served as New Generations chair and four consecutive years as International Service chair.
He was on the organizing committee for the first Rotary Oktoberfest in 2016 and has continued on its steering committee ever since. He also is joined by his wife Gay as volunteers for the Rotary pancake supper and Fayette County Fair hamburger booth.
“Chuck approaches every project with a smile,” said club president Mike Coppinger. “We are proud of this recognition for him by the Rotary District.”
