Kathy Chlumsky traveled over to Lake Charles, La. to visit her parents, Kenneth and Nelda Lamb. They all were happy that both Kathy’s daughters Jennifer Dong and Summer Smith made it with both their families. The trip turned into a mini family reunion.

They all had great fun and got to do lots of quality time with not only Kathy’s parents, but her sister, nieces and nephews along with her girls and grandkids. Highlighting the trip was the Mardi Gras parade. What a great time of the year to get to have some special family fun.

Newest Addition

Muldoon has a new addition to the community. Madison and Julio Castellano are proud to announce the arrival of their daughter Katherine Grace. Katherine was born on Feb. 7 weighing in at seven pounds fifteen ounces. She measured nineteen and a half inches long. She is such a blessing.

She was welcomed home to Muldoon by her grandparents, Pimy and Michael Saunders and great grandparents, Mike and Joy Hostetter. Katherine is the first child for Madison and Julio.

Celebrates Birthday

Ted Burns turned seventy and his brother-in-law John and wife Debra Schwartzenburg and his niece Lauren Schwartzenburg threw him a family party. They were joined by Ted’s wife Nada, sister-in-law Gail Webb of Bremerton, Washington; Irvin and Kayleen Schwartzenburg of Houston as well as David, Alejandra Schwartzenburg and son Lucian. It was a fun day celebrating this milestone birthday for Ted.

Travel to World Ag Expo James and I along with son Bobby Ivy took off for a week of whirlwind travel with the goal of attending the World Ag Expo in Tulare, California. We started our adventure driving out west with a stop at Pima Air Museum in Tucson, Arizona. We have stopped there several times in the past, but it is always a great experience to see what they have on display at the time of our visit.

After the museum we drove to Yuma, Arizona to join in our little cousin Hazel Rose Keaton’s first birthday party. It was fun to see Hazel taking off and walking so confidently around her party and enjoying all the other kids and their parents. After we shut down the party we headed over to cousins’ Patty and John Keaton’s home in Brawley, California to take a breath before heading out again.

On Monday afternoon we all piled into John and Patty’s truck to start making our way up north to Bakersfield. Along the way we stopped at a Bass Pro shop to see if there might be something we needed. In Bakersfield we went out to supper at a really neat restaurant called the Ice House where we got some really good Mexican food.

On Tuesday, we traveled to Tulare, Calif,, to the World Ag Expo and walked over seven miles seeing all sorts and versions of agricultural equipment, so of which we had to ask what it was used for. Huge tractors, drones, autonomous equipment of all sorts were on display for those who might want to order one. Dairy and orchard equipment were very prevalent. There were hundreds of venders of all sorts.

It was a whirlwind trip to California and only one hitch was hit when we were headed home there was a haz-mat spill in Tucson and we had to reroute south of I-10 and around the shut down area. Otherwise we had a great trip, got to see family and enjoy checking out some amazing equipment.

Museum Reopening

Make plans to attend the Muldoon Museum reopening. They will open the doors for all to check out from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is a great chance to come see some of Muldoon’s past on display and get to see all the improvements that have been made. Admission is free, but donations are always welcomed to help preserve what made Muldoon what it is today.
