Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Representatives from the non-profit group Presley’s Power hung a gold ribbon on the oak tree at the Fayette County Courthouse in La Grange on Tuesday in recognition of September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Pictured (from left) are Marlana Wessels, Jackie Wessels and Kaine Fajkus. Presley’s Power works to aid families struggling with childhood cancer. It was established in 2013 in memory of Jackie Wessels’ granddaughter Presley Bell, who died from cancer at the age of 14 months.
