Chicken Noodle Soup Lunch And Bake Sale Sunday In Ellinger

The Ellinger Chamber of Commerce will have a drive through chicken noodle soup lunch and bake sale on Sunday, Jan. 28, starting at 10:30 a.m. Donated items for the bake sale are appreciated. Soup will be $10 a quart or $35 a gallon; please bring a glass container or pot. Sandwiches will also be available and the drive through line will be routed under the new BBQ pavilion. Music entertainment will be provided by Zach Novak. The Chamber is located at 104 W. Colorado Sky in Ellinger.

The Fayette County Recycle trailer will be at the Chamber Hall on Wednesday, Jan. 31. Bring your glass, cardboard, newspapers, etc. to be recycled.

Shared Lutheran Ministry Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 FM on Sundays at noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.

Brethren Church 

Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Facebook page.

Candidate Forum 

The Fayette County Republican Party will host a forum at the Ellinger Chamber of Commerce Hall located at 104 W. Colorado Sky on Sunday, Feb. 4 from 1-4 p.m. This free event will allow you to learn about the candidates in preparation for the March 5 primary election. Those on the panel will include County Attorney Candidates James Herbrich and Mark Elvig, County Constable Pct. 2 Candidates Roger Wunderlich and Kenneth King and Republican Party Chairman Candidates Deborah Frank and Michael Schlabach.

Hermann Sons Camp 

The Hermann Sons Camp in Comfort is looking to fill some medical staff positions for the summer. RNs, LPNs, paramedics and EMTs are all invited to apply. Contact Ian at (830) 995-3223 for more information.
