Chamber Music Trio Returns to Round Top Festival Hill Saturday

Saturday, Jan. 18 the Chamber Music Trio returns to Festival Hill with Chavdar Parashkevov on violin, Louis-Marie Fardet on cello, and Viktor Valkov on piano. Preconcert lunch is available with reservations.

Dolly Parton Tribute Mass Coming up this weekend, enjoy a tribute mass at St. Cecilia’s in Round Top celebrating the birthday of Dolly Parton. This service will be Sunday, Jan. 19 at 10:30 a.m at the Round Top Dance Hall at 550 N. Washington Street. Enjoy a special service featuring many of Dolly’s most beloved songs including “Coat of Many Colors,” “Light of a Clear Blue Morning,” “I Will Always Love You,” and many more. Donations will benefit Dolly’s Imagination Library and the Round Top Family Library.

WinterAntique & Design Show Round Top’s Winter Antique & Design Show is Jan. 23-26. In addition to the yearround shops, there will be over 20 venues open for the show. For a list of participating vendors in Round Top and beyond, visit roundtop.com. Round Top-Carmine ISD Congratulations to the Homecoming Queen, Kinsley Bage, and Basketball Beau, Evan Blazek. The two were crowned last Friday, Jan. 10 at the Alumni game.

Students are out for a school holiday this coming Monday, Jan. 20. Progress reports will be posted in the Parent Portal on Jan. 30. Students with failing grades will receive a progress report in the mail.

Round Top Rifle Hall 

A crowd favorite, Mollie B and Sqeezebox, will return to the Round Top Rifle Hall Friday, Jan. 24. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Monday Hamburger Social 

The Monday night hamburger social takes place the first, second and third Mondays of each month, beginning at 5:30 p.m. All proceeds benefit the continued improvement of the Round Top Rifle Association.

Round Top Family Library 

The library’s 20th Annual Chili Cook Off is this weekend. Sunday, Jan. 19 enjoy live music by the Black Cat Choir, chili sampling and voting, and lots of fun. Tickets are $10, and children 12 and under are free. The event kicks off at 12 p.m. at the Rifle Hall.

Teams can still register to compete. Apply online at ilovetoread. org, or pick up an application at the library. All proceeds benefit the Round Top Family Library.

Historical Society 

Come and tour the Museum Campus. The Round Top Area Historical Society museum has free admission every second Saturday of the month from 1-4 p.m. The campus includes three historic homes and a historical church. Town Council 

Regular Council Meetings are the second Thursday of each month at 4 p.m. Meetings are held at the Town Hall (100 Main Street) unless otherwise posted. Citizens are encouraged and welcome to attend. Agendas are posted on townofroundtoptexas.org.

Church News 

There are several options for worship in our little town. St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Warrenton holds a monthly Mass the first Tuesday of the month at 8 a.m. Bethlehem Lutheran Church meets at 9:30 a.m. St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby services are at 8 a.m. Round Top Church meets at 8:45 a.m. for Bible Study, and the service is held at 10 a.m. St. Cecilia holds service in Haw Creek Chapel at 8:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.

Celebrations
