Central Texas Food Bank Mobile Pantry in Waldeck this Saturday

The Central Texas Mobile Food Pantry will be at the Waldeck Lutheran Church from 10 to 11 a.m. this Saturday. Drive through only. Backseats, trunks and truck beds need to be cleared out to make room for the bags and boxes of food.

Central Texas Mobile Food Pantry volunteers would like to wish the community a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New year and remind everyone that additional volunteers are always appreciated.

City Offices 

The City of Fayetteville offices will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 24 and Dec. 25. The City wishes everyone a safe and merry Christmas.

The City dump will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 24. When the City dump is closed, trash cannot be left at the closed gate. Do not go around the gate to dispose of the trash. Hold trash until the dump is open again on Friday, Dec. 27.

Fayetteville ISD 

The Christmas break at FISD is from Dec. 20 to Jan. 6.

ARTS for Rural Texas ARTS will be closed Dec.

23 through Friday, Jan. 3.

Fayetteville Bank 

Fayetteville Bank will be open from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Dec. 24, closed on Christmas day and resume regular hours on Thursday, Dec. 26.

Lake Fayette 

Lake Fayette is holding a Christmas sale on accommodations. Book two nights and get one free by using promo code “HolidaySavings” at checkout. This applies to all shelters at Park Prairie. At Oak Thicket, the RV sites and screened-in shelters are on sale but not the cabins.

“New docks have been built on both sides of the lake and the lake is full,” stated Tonya Smith, Lake Fayette General Manager. “The water is high so it’s great for fishing, kayaking and swimming. Fayetteville Brethren 

Worship services at Fayetteville Brethren are held on the second, third and fourth Saturday of every month at 10 a.m. An adult Bible Study is held before the worship service from 9 - 9:45 a.m.

St. Paul Lutheran 

St. Paul Lutheran holds services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Services are recorded every week, rotating among four Shared Lutheran Ministry churches and posted on the Facebook page for the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. Services are also featured on KTIM 89.1 Sundays at noon.

St. John the Baptist Catholic St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville holds Mass Saturdays at 6 p.m., and Sunday’s at 10 a.m.

St. Mary Catholic Church St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellinger holds Mass on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sunday’s at 8 a.m.
