Celebrate the New Year with Round Top Rifle Hall

Round Top Rifle Hall’s annual NYE dance is coming up Tuesday, Dec. 31. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the dance starts at 8 p.m. Enjoy music by The Lost Cause Band, and free cornbread and black-eyed peas at midnight. Tickets are $20 and are on sale now.

The Risky Liver Band will take the stage for Harmonie Hall’s annual NYE Dance. Doors open at 7 p.m., with dancing from 8 p.m. to midnight. Black-eyed peas served on your way out at midnight. Tickets are $20 at the door. Snacks are welcome as the kitchen will not be open. Please keep in mind no credit cards are accepted and there is no ATM on-site, cash only.

Festival Hill 

The annual New Year’s Day concert featuring Linda Paterson and Friends is set for Wednesday, Jan. 1 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for students.

Saturday, Jan. 18 the Chamber Music Trio returns to Festival Hill with Chavdar Parashkevov on violin, Louis-Marie Fardet on cello, and Viktor Valkov on piano. Preconcert lunch is available with reservations.

Round Top Family Library If you’d like to be a part of the library’s 20th annual Chili Cook-Off on Jan. 19, now is the time to enter. Fill out the application online at ilovetoread.org, or pick up an application at the library.

Round Top Rifle Hall The much-loved Hamburger Social will return Monday, Jan. 6.

Round Top Winter Show The annual Winter Round Top Antique & Design Show is Jan. 24-26.

Church News 

St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Warrenton holds a monthly Mass the first Tuesday of the month at 8 a.m. The next Mass will be held Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 8 a.m. for the intentions left on the altar. More information can be found at stjohnfayetteville.com/st-martin.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church meets at 9:30 a.m.

St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby services are at 8 a.m.

Round Top Church meets at 8:45 a.m. for Bible Study, and the service is held at 10 a.m.

St. Cecilia holds service in Haw Creek Chapel at 8:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
