The Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Annunciation No. 1962, held their monthly meeting on May 23, at 6:30 p.m. in the Msgr. Harry Mazurkiewcz Parish Center. After the opening prayer, the CDA State Scholarship winners Alessandra Solorzano, Brynn Mikulenka, Kelsey Polasek and Abigail DelaRosa, were presented their scholarship certificates.

In honor of Priest Appreciation, the court awarded gifts to Fr. Brian Phillips, Deacon Mike Meismer, Fr. Felix Twumasi, Deacon John McCourt, Father Bernard Hung and Deacon Bernard Meuth.

Court Annunciation will be represented at the National Convention in Puerto Rico in July by member Debbie Greene.

Court Annunciation was presented with the following awards on the State level: Leadership-1st Place; Spiritual Remembrance Mass Enrollments-1st Place; Spiritual Enhancement-2nd Place; Respect Life-2nd Place; Youth-3rd Place; Newsletter-2nd Place; JCDA Newsletter-1st Place; Education Contest , Art, Div. III, Aubree Bernsen-1st Place (advances to National); Education Contest, Computer Art, Div. III, Katelyn Bernsen-1st Place (advances to National); Education Contest, Photography, Div. IV, Melinda Dunk-3rd Place.

Members brought craft donations to give to Turtle Wing Foundation.

Installation of Officers was held immediately following the meeting. After the closing prayer, the meeting was adjourned.
