Carmine VFD Drill Night is April 10
The Carmine Volunteer Fire Department meets April 10 for their drill night at 6 p.m.
A burn ban is in effect for Fayette County.
RT-C School News
Round Top-Carmine High School baseball team hosts Iola on April 1 at 5 p.m. Jr. High and High School teams play at Iola on April 4 with the first game at 5 p.m. Jr. High and high school play at Richards on April 8 with the first game at 4:30 p.m.
April 4 is an early-release day. It is the end of the fifth six-weeks grading period and classes will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m.
MLLC News
Lenten service will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top on Wednesday at 7 p.m. A meal will be served at 6 p.m.
AA meets Saturday at 8:30 a.m.
Sunday School is Sunday at 9 a.m.
The Carmine Sunday Worship service with Holy Communion, observing the Fifth Sunday in Lent, is at 10 a.m. The Rev. Bonnie Parker will lead the worship service.
Recycle Trailer
There has been a change at the recycling trailer. Persons are asked to keep milk cartons separate from the other number 2 plastics.
They are still at the Carmine Hall on Thursdays from 1 to 4 p.m.
Continue to keep clean No. 1 and No. 2 plastic bottles and jugs separated. Note that numbers 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 plastics and plastic bags are not accepted.
Also accepted are dry newspapers, telephone books, magazines, cardboard, paper, junk mail, all colors glass, steel food cans and aluminum cans. Attendants are available to help unload.
