Heritage Committee to Meet The Carmine Heritage Committee will meet March 1 at 10 a.m. in the museum in the Depot. Discussion topic will be eating establishments – characteristics of the early ones compared with those more recent. Anyone is welcome to join the group and bring photos you may have.
RT-C School News
Round Top-Carmine band students participated at the UIL Solo and Ensemble competition on Feb. 18. Three students received first division ratings. One earned a 2. They appreciate Dr. Linda Patterson for accompanying the students.
RT-C FFA will meet on March 2 at 6 p.m. Meetings are open to Junior FFA and High School FFA members, as well as parents.
Career Prep students were able to participate in phone interviews based on their areas of work interest. It was a great business experience for the students and they are grateful for the community’s willingness to help.
RT-C baseball team begins their season on March 10 in Granger at 5 p.m.
Spring Break will be March 13-17.
Spring Antiques Show The Carmine Hall Spring Antiques Show will be held March 24-29. Early Bird shopping is March 24 from 5-7 p.m. Hours for March 2528 are 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and for March 29, hours are 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Herb and Plant Sale
The Pioneer Unit of the Herb Society of America is sponsoring their annual herb and plant sale on March 17 and 18 at the Round Top Festival Institute, 248 Jaster RD, Round Top, TX 78954. Hours on Friday are 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Saturday 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Hundreds of varieties for our region will be available.
Meals on Wheels
Senior Citizens Meals on Wheels with Combined Community Action meet every Wednesday at Martin Luther Lutheran Church Mission and Ministry Building located at 250 Augsburg Ave., Carmine.
Come early to play dominoes and enjoy the camaraderie. Hours are 9-11:30 a.m.
Food usually arrives about 10 a.m. and is for pick-up only until 11:30 a.m. There are five meals in a box along with milk, dessert, and bread. Cost is a donation of $10, which makes it $2 per meal. It is for seniors age 60 and up.

Carmine VFD
Carmine Volunteer Fire Department Drill Night is the second Thursday in March at 7 p.m. Volunteers and interested persons are always welcome to attend.
Bingo for Seniors
Bingo for Seniors (60 and older, plus guests) will be on March 12 at the Ledbetter Community Center. Cost is $5 per card, which covers ten plus games and prizes. Chips, snacks, and drinks are available for a freewill donation. This is a non-profit community event for entertainment.
MLLC News
Lenten service will be March 1 at 7 p.m. at Martin Luther Lutheran Church. A meal of soup and sandwiches will be served at 6 p.m. prior to the service. Both will be in the Fellowship Hall.
Saturday worship with Holy Communion is at 6 p.m.
Sunday School is Sunday at 9 a.m.
Sunday worship with Holy Communion, observing the Second Sunday of Lent, is at 10 a.m. The service will be on the mllccarmine.com website. The Rev. David Tinker is the pastor.
Recycling Trailer
The recycling trailer is at the Carmine Hall on Thursdays from noon until 4 p.m.
Visitors’ Center
Carmine Chamber of Commerce Visitors’ Center at the restored Train Depot is open on the second and fourth Fridays and Saturdays of the month from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
