Carmine Hall Hosting Fried Chicken Fundraiser Feb. 18
The Carmine Hall is sponsoring a fried chicken fundraiser on Sunday, Feb. 18 with carry out only from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Desserts will be available for a donation supporting the scholarship fund.

Thankful for Rain
We are very thankful for the 9.5 inches of rain that Carmine received the week of Jan. 22. The stock ponds have filled up and were running over.
Olive Wood Crafts
Olive Wood Crafts from Bethlehem Christian Families will have products, created by artisans in and around the Holy Land region, at Martin Luther Lutheran Church. These carvings will be on display and available for purchase before and after worship this Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 10 and 11. Worship on Saturday is at 6 p.m. and on Sunday at 10 a.m.

Souper Bowl of Caring The Lutheran Youth Organization of MLLC will collect for the “Souper Bowl of Caring” fundraiser this weekend, Feb. 10 and 11. The proceeds will be given to the A.M.E.N. Food Pantry in La Grange.
Offerings may be placed in large soup pots at the back of the sanctuary. Checks or cash are gladly accepted. If you write a check, make it payable to MLLC LYO, memo line-Souper Bowl. If you cannot attend on those dates, checks may be mailed to the church. Donations may also be brought during the week to the church office.
RT-C School News
Girls’ and boys’ varsity basketball teams host Fayetteville on Feb. 6 at 5 p.m. This will be the girls last district game. The boys play at Buckholts on Feb. 9 also at 5 p.m.
Jr. High girls’ and boys’ teams host Dime Box on Feb. 8 at 5 p.m. for their last game of the season.

Bingo for Seniors
Bingo for Seniors (age 60 and older, plus guests) will be held this Sunday, Feb. 11 at the Ledbetter Community Center from 2-4 p.m. Cost is $5 per card, which covers 10 plus games and prizes. Chips, snacks and drinks are available for a freewill donation.

Carmine Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring its annual Mixer on Friday, Feb. 23 at Windmill Ranch Lodge beginning at 6 p.m.

Worship Committee meets Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
Confirmation class is Wednesday from 4:15 to 6:45 p.m.
Rebekah Group meets Thursday at 2 p.m.
Saturday worship with Holy Communion, observing the Transfiguration of Our Lord, is at 6 p.m.
Sunday School is Sunday at 9 a.m.
Sunday worship with Holy Communion is at 10 a.m. The Praise Team leads songs and the Noisy Offering will be received. The 2024 Noisy Offering will go to Cajun Navy, a group from Louisiana who go to flooded areas with their boats and other equipment to help those people get to safe places.

Recycling Trailer
The recycling trailer is no longer in Ledbetter. Please do not leave anything there. Those residents are asked to go to Carmine, Warrenton, or La Grange.
In Carmine on Thursdays, hours are 1-4 p.m. at the Carmine Hall.
The hours in Warrenton are 8-11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and also 8 a.m.-12 p.m. on Saturdays. That location is at 600 Huenefeld LN, Round Top, TX 78954.
Hours in La Grange are Tuesdays 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m.; and Saturdays 7 a.m.-1 p.m. The address there is 210 Svoboda LN, La Grange, TX 78945.
The trailer is also in Fayetteville on Tuesdays from 1-5:30 p.m.
Accepted are clean No. 1 and No. 2 plastic bottles and jugs. Please separate them. Take note that Numbers 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 plastics are not accepted. They do not take plastic bags.
Also accepted are dry newspapers, telephone books, magazines, cardboard, paper, junk mail, all colors glass, steel food cans and aluminum cans. Attendants are available to help unload.
Visitors’ Center
The Carmine Chamber of Commerce Visitors’ Center at the restored Train Depot is open on the second Friday and Saturday of the month from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Meals on Wheels
Senior Citizens Meals on Wheels with Combined Community Action meet every Wednesday at Martin Luther Lutheran Church Mission and Ministry Building located at 250 Augsburg Ave. in Carmine.
Come early to play dominoes and enjoy the camaraderie. Hours are 9-11:30 a.m.
Food usually arrives about 10 a.m. and must be picked up by 11:30 a.m. There are five meals in a box along with milk, dessert, and bread. Cost is a donation of $10, which makes it $2 per meal. It is for seniors age 60 and up.
