The Carmine Hall Spring Antiques Show will be held March 24-29. Early Bird shopping is March 24 from 5-7 p.m. Hours for March 2528 are 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and for March 29, hours are 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

RT-C School News
Round Top-Carmine ISD baseball team plays at Mumford March 21 at 4:30 p.m. They host Mumford on March 24 also at 4:30 p.m.
The following is from the www.rtcisd.net website: The elementary school will have a Kindergarten and Prekindergarten Roundup on April 4 at the elementary school from 5-5:30 p.m. Eligible children who plan to attend Kindergarten and/or Prekindergarten at RT-C Elementary for the 2023-2024 school year are invited to attend. Children who will be five years of age on or before Sept. 1 are eligible for enrollment. Children who will be four years of age on or before Sept. 1 may be eligible for the Prekindergarten class. The RT-C band participated in the UIL Concert Band and Sight-Reading contest on March 7. They received superior, all number 1 ratings in sight-reading and high marks of 1’s and 2’s in their prepared music.
FCCLA members promoted seatbelt safety by passing out candy to car riders wearing their seatbelts.
Rebekah Group Meets
The Rebekah Group of Martin Luther Lutheran Church met March 9 with 10 members present. Members attending were Dianna Gerland, Diana Wunderlich, Jocie Braun, Leonita Sanders, Sedalia Ullrich, Barbara Jacob, Susan Ray, Joys Baird, Carol Carmean, and Nancy Eilers. Guest was Spence Schroeder.
The Bible Study was led by Joys Baird with the theme, The Ten Commandments: Reviving the Soul; Session 3: The Sanctity of Life and Love (Commandments 5 & 6).
The business meeting was called to order by Susan Ray, President.
Seventy-nine pounds of food were delivered to AMEN on Feb. 27 by Brick and Debby Peele.
The quilting group will meet March 13.
The last 12 of the yearbooks were mailed, with postage $1.11 each.
A list of items still needed for baby care kits will be published soon.
The Birthday party at Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center will be on Friday, Oct. 13 at 2:30 p.m. The party at Argent Court still needs to be scheduled.
Members are asked to do research on butterflies for the theme for the WELCA salad supper on June 7.
The group decided to donate $500 to Vacation Bible School to be used for T-shirts. VBS will be June 11-15.
The offering meditation was given by Diana Wunderlich.
Happy Birthday was sung for the March birthday celebrants, Barbara Jacob and Diana Wunderlich.
Hostesses were Leonita Sanders and Susan Ray.
Meals on Wheels
Senior Citizens Meals on Wheels with Combined Community Action meet every Wednesday at Martin Luther Lutheran Church Mission and Ministry Building located at 250 Augsburg Ave., Carmine, TX 78932.
Come early to play dominoes and enjoy the camaraderie. Hours are 9 -11:30 a.m.
Food usually arrives about 10 a.m. and is for pick-up only until 11:30 a.m. There are 5 meals in a box along with milk, dessert, and bread. Cost is a donation of $10, which makes it $2 per meal. It is for seniors age 60 and up.
To sign up, come by on any Wednesday morning to fill out the paperwork. For more information, contact Marilyn Wagner at (979) 277-4134.
Carmine VFD
Carmine Volunteer Fire Department drill night is March 9 at 7 p.m. Volunteers and interested persons are always welcome to attend.

MLLC News
Lenten service will be Wednesday, March 22 at 7 p.m. at Waldeck Lutheran Church. A meal will be served at 6 p.m. prior to the service. Martin Luther Lutheran Church and Waldeck Lutheran Church are alternating hosting the meal and service. Deaconess Jennifer Tinker’s sermon is titled “Grace We Give in Response.”
Saturday worship with Holy Communion is at 6 p.m.
Sunday School is Sunday at 9 a.m.
Sunday worship with Holy Communion, observing the Fifth Sunday in Lent, is at 10 a.m. The service will be on the mllccarmine.com website. The Rev. David Tinker is the pastor.
Men in Mission meet Monday at 6 p.m.
Recycling Trailer
The recycling trailer is at the Carmine Hall on Thursdays from noon until 4 p.m.
Accepted are dry newspapers, telephone books, magazines, cardboard, paper, junk mail, clean no. 1 and no. 2 food grade plastics (milk cartons should be separated from other plastic), all colors glass, steel food cans, and aluminum cans. Attendants are available to help unload.
The trailer is in Ledbetter from 8:30-11 a.m., also on Thursdays, behind the Ledbetter Fireman’s Hall.
Visitors’ Center
Carmine Chamber of Commerce Visitors’ Center at the restored Train Depot is open on the second and fourth Fridays and Saturdays of the month from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
