Boehnke Family Reunites in Muldoon

The Boehnke Family reunion was held at the Muldoon Mercantile. It was a wonderful gathering of around thirty of the family members. They enjoyed visiting and eating and just relaxing with each other. This is an annual gathering of the family, so cousins get a chance to visit and get to know each other.

Out and About Debra and John Schwartzenburg enjoyed a visit from Debra’s sister and niece, Julia Speed and Andrea Russell. The ladies were enjoying some time in the country and away from the hustle and bustle of Houston.

James, Bobby and I enjoyed having Matt and Natosha Kinney along with their girls Ella, Callie and Khloe. The Kinney family traveled over from New Braunfels to enjoy a day in the country and enjoy the simple things.

Kathy and Frank Chlumsky traveled to Katy to cheer on their grandsons as they competed in a martial arts tournament. Grandsons, Conner and Hunter Dong had a jujitsu competition on Saturday. Both boys placed. Conner won first place and received a gold medal. This was Hunter’s first competition and took a third place bronze medal.

Nancie and Billy Blair’s grandson, Kelley Schick came out to visit from Houston for the weekend. They had a great time sitting outside and enjoying the cooler evening weather.

Ladies Bible Study Jennifer Rightmer is starting a new Ladies’ Bible Study for the fall on Thursday mornings at 9 a.m. in the Flatonia Baptist Church fellowship hall.

All area ladies are invited to come and join in this study, “Courageous Joy, Delight in God through Every Season.” It is always a wonderful group of area ladies who gather to study together in search of learning more about the Bible. It is not too late to join in. There is always time to catch up and there is always something to learn. Books for the study are $16.

Hogs

The dry weather is driving the hogs out and about. They are coming in and rooting up fields and causing lots of damage. They also are crossing the roads more making it dangerous to travel after dark. Be aware and watch out for wildlife in the roads.
