Blood Drive Jan. 26 in Carmine

A blood drive will be held at Martin Luther Lutheran Church on Sunday, Jan. 26 from 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. You can go online to make an appointment at Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center – Donor Portal ( commitforlife.org). It is also sponsored by Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Round Top.

RT-C School News 

Round Top-Carmines high school girls’ and boys’ basketball teams host Richards on Jan. 14. The first game begins at 5 p.m. They play at Fayetteville on Jan. 17 with the first game also at 5. Boys host Calvert on Jan. 21 at 5:30 p.m.

Carmine VFD 

The Carmine Volunteer Fire Department regular meeting is scheduled for Jan. 23 at 6 p.m.

The burn ban has been lifted.

Bingo 

Bingo in Carmine will be held on Friday, Jan. 24 at the Carmine Hall, located at 300 N. Hauptstrasse. Doors open at 4 p.m.

Food and drinks will be available Carmine Cemetery Assoc.

The Carmine Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting on Sunday, Jan. 26 in the Mission and Ministry Building of MLLC. It begins after worship around 11:15 a.m. Members and those interested in becoming a member are welcome to attend.

MLLC News 

Beginning in February, Martin Luther Lutheran Church Saturday services will only be held on the first and third Saturdays of the month. Time is 6 p.m.

Confirmation class meets Wednesday from 4:15-6:45 p.m.

AA meets Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

Saturday worship with Holy Communion, observing the Second Sunday after Epiphany, is at 6 p.m.

Sunday School is Sunday at 9 a.m.

Sunday Worship with Holy Communion is at 10 a.m. The annual meeting follows worship.

The Rev. David Tinker is the pastor.

Recycling Trailer 

The recycling trailer is in Carmine on Thursdays from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Carmine Hall.

They accept clean No. 1 and No. 2 plastic bottles and jugs. Please separate them. Note that numbers 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 plastics and plastic bags are not accepted.

Also accepted are dry newspapers, telephone books, magazines, cardboard, paper, junk mail, all colors glass, steel food cans and aluminum cans. Attendants are available to help unload.

Birthdays
