Blair Takes Trip to Chicago

Nancie Blair was a busy lady recently. She, her mom, Elaine Lang, and sister, Lu Ginapp, all traveled to Indiana to visit Nancie’s brother and sister in law, Art and Linda Lang. While there, they decided to take a tour around Chicago.

While they were touring the town, some of the sights they got to see were the Navy Pier and the fountain at Grant Park. They also stopped to sample some Chicago-style pizza at one of the best places, Giordano’s.

Elaine is from an area just north of Chicago, so they decided to make the jaunt on up to the area and check it out. They toured the area while Elaine did some reminiscing and recounted stories of places when she was a child.

On the trip home they enjoyed a stop in Paris, Texas for a photo op. Nancie just happened to have her copy of the Fayette County Record for the opportunity. It was a fun family girls’ trip for the ladies.

Rain

There were a few little showers in the area recently. Not a lot, but any rain is welcomed right now. Not all were so fortunate to receive rain, but those who did welcomed each and every drop.

Out and About

Jennifer and Clay Rightmer took off over the weekend to Waco to visit their daughter, Lane Rightmer. While there, they helped Lane decorate and settle into her new office. It was some good family time for the Rightmers.

Kim Bonewald came by one day and snagged me up for a day trip to Fredericksburg. We drove up for Kim to pick up peaches and tomatoes to can. While there, we also stopped at the quilt shop before enjoying a German style lunch. We took the scenic route home over the Devil’s Backbone that included a stop at the quilt shop in Blanco. We had lots of fun and enjoyed seeing what all was going on in another area of Texas.

Darrell and Dana Kulak were joined by Darrell’s brother and sister-in-law, John David and Karen Kulak, along with Kim and Toni Moir, for a trip to Circuit of the Americas for a Styx and REO Speedwagon concert. They enjoyed some great music and had a fun time together.

Neighborhood Watch

Things are hot and dry in Muldoon, but do not let your guard down. Keep your eyes open and be aware of what is happening around you. If you see something odd or out of place call that neighbor or the sheriff’s office to report it.
