The Bishop Forest High School Class of 1969 held its 55-year reunion on Saturday, Aug. 3 at Robert’s Steakhouse in Flatonia.
Prior to dinner, the group enjoyed a good time socializing and reminiscing with music provided by David “Super Dave” Hollas, son of classmate Richard Hollas and wife Barbara.
A commemorative table display honored the eight classmates who’ve already earned their angel wings. Those include Annie (Kossa) Ondrusek, George Muras, Judy Lux, Mike Bertsch, John Tofel, Alfons “Biffy” Genzer, Patrick Janda, and Edith (Matura) Hartensteiner.
Special guest was Larry Rourke (and wife) of San Antonio, the group’s class sponsor during their freshman, sophomore, and junior years.
And special thanks goes to Gary Rektorik who keeps these schoolmates connected through emails of current events as well as spearheading memorable events such as this.
