The next Bingo for seniors 60 and older plus guests is this Sunday, April 13 at the Ledbetter Community Center from 2-4 p.m. Doors open at 1:15 p.m.

A five-dollar card covers all games with prizes awarded for each game. Chips, snacks, and drinks will be available for a donation. This is a nonprofit community event for entertainment.

RT-C School News 

Jr. High and high school baseball teams play at Richards on April 8 with Jr. High playing at 4:30 p.m. High school hosts Richards on April 11 at 5 p.m. It will be Alumni Day. High school also hosts Snook on April 14 at 4:30 p.m. and it will be Future Cub Club.

Scratch Art projects were completed the last week of March. Go to the rtcisd.net website to view these creative pieces of art by RT-C students. They are mostly of animals, but three are different. The other three include a truck, hand with jewelry, and Darth Vader.

Congratulations to Sophia Nance and Avery Nelius, who were selected to represent the Fayette Electric Coop on a journey to Washington, D.C. this June. As part of the 2025 Government-in-Action Youth Tour, they will join one hundred forty-five Texas students in exploring our nation’s capitol, visiting historic landmarks and museums, meeting elected officials and making lifelong memories.

The Carmine Volunteer Fire Department meets April 10 for drill night at 6 p.m.

MLLC News 

Lenten service will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top on Wednesday at 7 p.m. A potluck meal will be served at 6 p.m.

Rebekah Group meets Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Mission and Ministry Building.

AA meets Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

Sunday School is Sunday at 9 a.m.

Carmine Sunday Worship service with Holy Communion, observing Palm Sunday, is at 10 a.m. The Noisy Offering will be received for Lutherhill Ministries. The Rev. Bonnie Parker will lead the worship service.

Quilting for Lutheran World Relief is Monday beginning at 9 a.m.

Visitors’ Center 

The Carmine Chamber of Commerce Visitors’ Center at the restored Train Depot and Museum is open on the second Saturday of the month from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The next date is April 12. It is located at 248 E Sylvan, Carmine, TX 78932, which is on the south side of Highway 290.
