Award Winning Czech Film Coming to Flatonia

The award-winning Czech comedy drama BUKO makes its Flatonia and Fayette County premiere on Sunday, February 4 at 2 p.m. at The Lyric Theater.

Presented by Czech That Film Texas, the annual series of contemporary Czech films screened around the Lone Star State, BUKO follows 60-something Jarmila (Anna Cónová) after she and her husband Václav (Miroslav Krobot) move from Prague to the countryside to spend their last years. Upon Václav’s unfortunate passing, Jarmila receives a surprise as dictated in his last will: an old circus horse named Buko she is now supposed to take care of.
