City cemetery records are being updated. As a reminder, the addition to the cemetery has made room for more plots.

VFD/EMS Report Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department Fire and EMS Call Report for October: Oct. 2, First responder call to assist Medic 2 with reported chest pains on FM 2981 at St. Hwy. 237, disregarded.
Oct. 3, First responder call to assist Medic 2 and EMS 3 with reported dizziness on St. Hwy. 159 at CH Allen Rd.
Oct. 7, First responder call to assist EMS 1, EMS 3, LCRA Ranger, Game Warden and Fayette County Sheriff’s office at Park Prairie on Fayette Lake for a missing person.
Oct. 17, First responder call to assist Medic 2, EMS 3, with a fall victim on W. St. Hwy 159 at Roznov Rd.
Residents are reminded by Chief Randy Noviske that Fayette County is still under a burn ban as of Sept. 26.
Fayetteville Brethren Fayetteville Brethren Church would like to thank everyone for the generous donations to their annual Operation Christmas Child program for Samaritan’s Purse. Approximately 34 shoeboxes were filled and are ready for shipping.
The program has collected and delivered more than 186 million gift-filled shoeboxes since 1993 to children in more than 160 countries and territories.
Worship services at Fayetteville Brethren are held on the second, third and fourth Saturday of every month at 10 a.m. An adult Bible Study is held before the worship service from 9 - 9:45 a.m.
Verteran Quilts
Quilter and veteran Ann Heintschel made four outstanding quilts representing the Army, Navy, Air Force and the Marine Corps, for the American Legion live auction last Saturday.
St. Paul Lutheran Church St. Paul Lutheran featured a beautiful quilt for a lucky raffle winner during their Stew and Bake Sale.
St. Paul Lutheran holds services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Services are recorded every week, rotating among four Shared Lutheran Ministry churches and posted on the Facebook page for the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. Services are also featured on KTIM 89.1 Sundays at noon.
St. John the Baptist Catholic St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville holds Mass Saturdays at 6 p.m., and Sunday’s at 10 a.m.
St. Mary Catholic Church St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellinger holds Mass on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sunday’s at 8 a.m.
