Artist Inspired by Fayette Co. Landscapes
Marsha-Davis-Riley is a new-to-Fayette County resident, who had been captivated by the local landscapes. She recently stopped by the Record office to show off some of her work, rural scenes that many locals might recognize. She has been painting for 40 years and she and her husband have been landowners here since 1997 but just moved here full time recently. “Its so spacious and so beautiful and the sky changes all the time here,” she said. “And the people are so friendly.” Check out her work at http://marshadavis-riley.com “Folks who live here are surrounded by unique beauty and wildlife everyday,” she said. “They don’t have to visit a National Park to see animals or the vast variety of colors in the grasses, sky, trees and wildflowers. For the most part, they step outside their front door; and there it is! And, it changes all of the time. I think when folks grow up surrounded by this kind of stunning beauty, they may forget to look at it. I hope my paintings inspire folks to notice the spacious beauty in which they live. They are lucky!”
