Annual Ellinger Holiday Music Show this Sunday

The Ellinger Holiday Music Show will feature Dujka Brothers, Friends of D’Vine Testament and Zach Novak on Sunday, Dec. 3 from 11-4 p.m. Doors open at 10:30 am and music tickets are $5. Other activities include a bake sale, silent auction, raffle and a meal. The fried chicken and sausage meal will start at 10:30 am with either drive though or dine in plates. Cost is $15. The hall is located at 104 Colorado Sky in Ellinger.

Mindy Girard

Mindy Girard suffered second and third degree burns covering over 25 percent of her body. This fundraiser will help offset medical and living expenses for her. The event will take place at the Ellinger Chamber of Commerce Hall on Sunday, Dec. 10 with a drive through starting at 10:30 a.m. Racks of ribs will be $30. Raffle tickets are being sold for $10 with over 75 prizes. Tickets can be purchased from Cassie Girard (979) 966-5018, Mike Schlabach (979) 9669853, at La Grange Chevron, Audio-Video Plus in Schulenburg, Kalmus Service Station or La Grange Farm & Ranch.

Shared Lutheran Ministry

There will be a joint worship in Ellinger on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 8 a.m. with Bishop Mike. Also, since this is the first Sunday, the noisy offering will be collected. Ushers will collect your coins, or paper bills, during the worship. This collection supports the discretionary fund.

Christmas Eve service will be in Ellinger and Pastor Tracey Breashears Schultz will lead the service. She will be in Ellinger at 5 p.m. and at St. John in Rutersville at 7 p.m. Pastor Fred Hill will lead the service in Fayetteville and Warrenton at regular worship times. There will not be any services on Christmas Day.

Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at Noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.

Brethren Church

Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Facebook page.

Hermann Sons

The Ellinger Hermann Sons Life will be meeting on Sunday, Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. at the Ellinger Fire Station. A collection of non-perishable items for AMEN will be gathered and the lodge appreciates any contributions. New this year will be an extended week for the youth camp in the summer. There will be a 10 night/11 days camp program from June 23-July 3, 2024. This coed program will be held at the Hilltop Camp with a limited enrollment of 90 females and 64 male campers. More information will be released closer to the summer months.

Bingo is held every Thursday night at the Brenham Hermann Sons Lodge. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and cards go on sale at 6:15 p.m. Games start at 7 p.m and this is open to the public.
