Animal Shelter Update

As of Nov. 11, total intake for the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter is 1,268: 583 dogs and 685 cats in need. As of Nov. 11, the shelter has 109 animals in care: 69 dogs/40 cats.

This number includes animals in the facility, in foster care for medical, waiting on available space, or awaiting transport to rescue partner.

Spay and neuter is the only way to manage the stray, unwanted dog and cat population in Fayette County.
