Animal Shelter Fundraiser Slated May 21 in Round Top

Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter presents their annual fundraiser, “Deep in the Paws of Texas” Saturday, May 21 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Round Top Rifle Hall. The night will consist of a delicious meal, live auction and live music. Single seat tickets are $150, or a table of 8 is $1,200. VIP tables are also available. Round Top Family Library is open Monday-Friday from 1:30- 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Adult Yoga meets Mondays at 5 p.m.

RTFL FYI welcomes Henry Flowers Thursday, April 21 at 7 p.m. Flowers is a horticultural and landscape maintenance manager who will be speaking on “Plants that Changed the Course of History.” This talk will take place at the Winedale Lecture Room located at 3738 FM 2714.

RTFL is offering a Jelly Making Workshop Saturday, May 7 from 9 a.m.-noon. The library will provide supplies and each participant will take home a jar of homemade jelly, plus recipes and tips. $10 per person. Class size is limited to 10 people. Round Top Rifle Hall

The Round Top Rifle Hall Monday Night Social is the first through third Monday of each month. The Hall opens at 5:30 p.m., and the order window is open from 6-8 p.m. All proceeds benefit the continued improvement of the RTRA. Noisy Offering is the third Sunday of each month. The Western Cluster Gathering will be held Saturday, April 23 beginning with a brunch at 9 a.m. The program will be “Hats off to the Ladies” and everyone is asked to bring something that qualifies as a hat or head covering of any kind.

Fayetteville ArtWalk

Arts for Rural Texas and Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce will host the annual Fayetteville ArtWalk May 7 - 8 beginning at 12 p.m. each day. Enjoy an art fair on the town square featuring work from 60 different artists. Proceeds benefit projects and programs for children throughout Fayette County. Along with great art, guests can enjoy wine tastings, food, shopping and live music! The event will be held at Henkel Square Market.
