Homeward Bound presents “Deep in the Paws of Texas” fundraiser gala benefiting the Gardenia Janssen Animal Shelter on Saturday, May 13 at The Big Red Barn. The venue will be transformed to portray the glamorous nostalgia of country icons of the past.

The night will feature The Grooves – an electrifying band from Austin. “Country Glam Attire” welcome. Tables and individual tickets available.

Saturday, April 29 April Hall will be performing at Busted Oak Cellars from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Eric Fields will perform from 2 to 5 p.m.

Cross Roads Band will be at The Stone Cellar Friday, April 28 at 7 p.m. Sunday, De Anna Wendolyn will perform beginning at 4 p.m.

Round Top Rifle Hall

The Monday Night Hamburger Social in May will be Monday, May 8 and May 15. The Hall opens at 5:30 p.m., and the order window is open from 6 to 8 p.m. All proceeds benefit the continued improvement of the RTRA.

Town of Round Top

The town of Round Top is currently looking for volunteers to work the polling place from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on April 24 thru April 28, and May 1 and 2.

Regular Council meetings are held the second Monday of each month at 6 p.m. Meetings are held at the Town Hall located at 100 Main Street unless otherwise posted. Citizen are encouraged and welcome to attend. Agendas are posted on the website at www.townofroundtop. org at least seventytwo hours prior to the meeting time.

Round Top-Carmine ISD Transfer and enrollment packets for the 2023 – 2024 school year are now available on the school’s website.

Sports physicals per the Texas A&M Mobile Health Clinic will be Thursday, May 4 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Round Top High School.

Round Top Family Library The Round Top Family Library is open Monday from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday– Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There will be an iPhone class Saturday, May 6 from 9 to 11 a.m. This class will cover tips on how to best use your iPhone – no Androids. Free class – limited to the first 20 people. Reserve your space by calling the library.

Yoga is Mondays at 5 p.m., Art After School is Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:30 p.m., Chess Club is Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m. and Kids Garden is Thursdays at 4 p.m.

Weekly Preschool story time for 3 and 4-year-old children takes places Wednesdays from 10:15 to 11 a.m. Preschoolers will hear an age-appropriate book and participate in activities. The parent or guardian must be present.

Family game night is held every second Saturday of the month from 2 to 5 p.m.. Come to the Historic Rummel Haus for board games and lots of fun. Parent or guardian must be present. A light snack and water will be served.

The RTAHS museum has free admission every second Saturday of the month from 1 to 4 p.m. Take the opportunity to view three historic homes and a historic church. Private tours are welcome.

Festival Hill

Volunteer Service Day will be Saturday, May 6, beginning at 9:30 a.m. After check-in a light breakfast and snacks will be provided, then groups will gear up and get started. Projects typically last until noon, then lunch will be served. To register, visit festivalhill.org.

St. Cecilia’s Round Top Episcopal Church holds services with Father Bill Miller Sundays at 8:45 and 10:45 a.m. in the historic Haw Creek Chapel in Henkel Square.
