Angeline Boehnke Celebrates Birthday
MULDOON News
The Boehnke family gathered at Robert’s Steakhouse to celebrate Angeline Boehnke’s 89th birthday. Angeline has been very active in the Muldoon community over the years and is still very active in the Muldoon Museum.
New Baby
Muldoon native Elizabeth Cherry Fielder and husband Chase Fielder welcomed their first son, William “Camden” Fielder on Jan. 15. He weighted in at seven pounds twelve ounces. His Muldoon roots go back to grandparents Chris and Susie Cherry and the late William Cherry and Peggy Cherry.
Illnesses
There are quite a few people in the Muldoon area that are very ill with the flu, colds, RSV and other respiratory illnesses. Please check on your neighbors, especially the elderly, to make sure they are doing ok. They may need a little help picking up medicine, groceries or maybe just a pot of soup to get them through. The respiratory bugs this year seem to be really tough and are taking a longer recovery time. Now is the time to act like the small community that we are and support each other.
Traffic
There seems to be a lot of traffic coming through the area recently. Just a reminder that there are school buses running in the morning and in the afternoon picking up and dropping students off. Slow down and be aware of the kids who are going to school and might be at the side of the road.
Weather
Weather at the time of this writing is very pleasant, but the forecast for the next week is sounding very cold. Be sure that you have your pipes wrapped and the animals fed for this upcoming arctic blast. This blast might hang around a few days.
Church News
The Stray Gathering Cowboy Church is staying very active in the community. They have a nice crowd coming in on Sunday mornings beginning at 9:30 a.m. for coffee and doughnuts with worship service at 10 a.m.
On Wednesday nights they once again fill the church with youth and the ROPE program. They welcome any and all youth who are ages 13-18 years old to come, enjoy a meal and learn about the Bible, all while having a great time bonding as they grow their faith. ROPE happens from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesdays.
