American Legion, Auxiliary Visit Assisted Living Facilities Over Christmas

To show gratitude and appreciation to our Veterans, the American Legion Post and the Auxiliary Unit No. 102 La Grange, brought Christmas cheer to the Veterans or the Military Spouses to the three Assisted Living Facilities in Fayette County on Dec. 11, 2023.

The group visited College Place in Schulenburg, the Schulenburg Regency Retirement Villas, and Jefferson Place in La Grange. At each facility, the Veterans and military spouses were recognized individually with a Christmas Gift package. Sharing of military stories and singing of Patriotic and Christmas songs then concluded the visits.

Taking part in visiting the Veterans were the following: Richard and Mary Gray, John and Mary Battle, Glenn Altwein, Stacy Ryza, Phyllis Chavarria, Elizabeth Kallus, Elaine Matthys, and Kathy Fischer.
