AMEN Sees Increase In Donations
AMEN Food Pantry served 362 families for the month of October for a total of 1,077 individuals. This compares to last October which was 249 families served. A total of 138 volunteers for 410 hours served the pantry. A total of 5,263 pounds of food was received as donations. The Central Texas has increased their product line and the pantry received 11,506 pounds of product.
The board of AMEN appreciates all in the community that have responded with increased food and monetary donations.
Donations can be brought in on Monday mornings from 9 a.m. until noon or Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until noon. You can mail monetary donations to P.O. Box 571, La Grange, Texas 78945, or dropped off at the Pantry.
AMEN has staff on location to receive donations every Thursday from 10 a.m. until noon. Drive to the side of the building at garage door area. There will not be a food distribution on Thursday. If possible, bring your produce during this time and early Monday mornings, an ideal time is 8:30 a.m.
The mobile pantry at Waldeck served 78 households for a total of 188 individuals. A total of 24 volunteers with 4,456 pounds distributed.
