AMEN Food Pantry Serves Over 300 Families During July

A total of 373 families were served by the AMEN Food Pantry for the month of July, for a total of 1,115 individuals. A total of 257 volunteers served the pantry for 662 hours. A total of 4,777 pounds of food were donated.

Summer traditionally is the slowest time of the year for product donation and monetary donations. The pantry always has a need for fresh produce, juice, canned meat, and cereal.

AMEN has staff on location to receive donations every Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon. Drive to the side of the building at the garage door area. There will not be food distribution on Thursday. If possible, bring your produce during this time and early Monday mornings, an ideal time is 8:30 a.m.

On Monday, Sept. 2 the pantry will be closed in observance of Labor Day, will open on Tuesday, Sept. 3 for distribution from 9 a.m. until noon.
