AMEN Appreciates Community For Continued Support

AMEN continued to be busy in the month of July. 331 families were served for the month for a total of 964 individuals.

The mobile food pantry in Waldeck served 98 families and 180 individuals with 4,060 pounds distributed. This is a service offered by Central Texas Food Bank; AMEN provides the labor to distribute the food. Nineteen volunteers assisted with the mobile pantry. Waldeck food distribution is on the third Saturday of each month from 10 to 11 a.m.

The spring/summer season brings fresh garden produce. AMEN welcomes fresh produce brought on Mondays before 9 a.m. if possible.

The upcoming summer months traditionally are the slowest time of year for food donations and monetary donations. As we all enjoy the festivities of summer, we need to remember that the need for food assistance continues.
