The Amanda Knox Memorial Scholarship Fund will hold a BBQ pulled pork taco meal on Monday, Jan. 20. Tickets are $15 each and can be purchased by contacting Cyndy Zoch at (979) 9663166. Only 250 tickets are available. All proceeds will be used to award a scholarship to an 8th grade student attending Faith Lutheran High School.
Wednesday Night Bible Study The Wednesday Night Bible Study at Holy Cross in Warda will take a break for the Holidays and will begin the study of 2nd Kings on Jan. 8. New members are always welcome. The Sewing Circle will begin meeting again in January. They meet each Thursday from 9 a.m.-noon in the old parish hall at Holy Cross in Warda. (this is around the back side of the church.) The quilts they make benefit Orphan Grain Train, Lutheran World Relief, and various Volunteer Fire Department area fundraisers. They average 80-100 quilts a year. No experience is necessary and you do not have to be a church member to join this fun group in cutting, arranging, sewing as assembling/tying quilts. Game Day at Holy Cross
The next Game Day at Holy Cross in Warda will be held Thursday, Jan. 16 from noon-2 p.m. A light lunch is served, there is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo and dominoes are offered.
Holy Cross Services
Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.
New Years Eve worship will be held Dec. 31 at 6:30 p.m.
The church office will be closed Jan. 1 for the Holidays.
