Ag Day Held at Fayette County Fairgrounds for Local 4th Graders

Fayette County Farm Bureau hosted the annual Ag Day for fourth grade students from around the County at the Fayette County Fairgrounds in La Grange on Tuesday, Oct. 3. Approximately 233 students plus volunteers and teachers spent the day learning about grain farming, poultry, beekeeping, wildlife, dairy and beef cattle production, horticulture and sheep and goats. All schools in Fayette County except Schulenburg I.S.D. participated.

“We had tremendous support, so many volunteers this year,” said Fayette County Farm Bureau President Wendy McDaniel. “It was amazing.
