Huskies are genetically closer to wolves than other dogs. Their independent nature tends to result in some troublesome behaviors. Huskies are often abandoned because they need a strong leader who understands the breed. We have pictured 2 of the 4 huskies currently at our shelter. If you are familiar with the breed and interested in adding a new dog to your household, please stop by for more information.

• Call the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter at 966-0021 HOURS:

• Visit the shelter at 240 Svoboda Lane and adopt animals on Tuesday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The shelter is closed on Monday. The animal shelter will not accept surrendered animals on Saturdays.
