This week marks 18 weeks that Buddy (left) has been sitting in his kennel here at the animal shelter. At 7 years old, this is no way to spend his golden years. He is a little particular about his friends, but not everyone has other dogs. He does have a female friend here. Athena (right) has been with us for 16 weeks. She is a beautiful black German Shepherd mix. She is friendly, walks well on a leash and keeps her kennel clean. If you’d like to visit with either of these animals, please contact the shelter to schedule a meet and greet.

• Visit the shelter at 240 Svoboda Lane and adopt animals on Tuesday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The shelter is closed on Monday. The animal shelter will not accept surrendered animals on Saturdays.
