Leopard Academy Graduates Three More Students to Push Total Over 30

Three more students graduated from La Grange ISD through the Leopard Academy program at Monday’s school board meeting. Nicholas Rodriguez, Leila Davis, and Nahqi Wilson are the most recent graduates completing the Leopard Academy. The Leopard Academy is an alternative academic program that was the brain child of Brad Harbers. He came to the administration in 2022 asking if LGISD would implement an alternative graduation completing program to allow students who were in danger of dropping out or not graduating. Since the inception of the program, there have been over 30 students complete the requirements and receive their high school diploma – students who otherwise might not have graduated. Superintendent Andy McHazlett congratulated the graduates and thanked the parents and staff who supported these students on their journey. He reminded the graduates that “Getting this diploma will open up many doors for each of you.”
