Zoom Talk to Explore Media’s Role in Bonnie and Clyde Story
On Tuesday, Jan. 27 at noon, historian and author Mike Vance will discuss the media’s coverage and public reaction to Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow. It is tough to understate the press coverage thrust at Americans during the two-year run of Bonnie and Clyde. Round Top-Carmine ISD
On Friday, Jan. 23, RTC will host Fayetteville for JV boys, Varsity girls, and Varsity boys basketball games beginning at 5 p.m. On Tuesday, Jan. 27, the RTC Varsity girls and Varsity boys basketball teams will be playing Calvert at Calvert.
RT-C Education Foundation
The Round Top-Carmine Education Foundation met on Jan. 15 for their first quarterly meeting of 2026. The Foundation made the decision to cover the race entry fee for the R.T.C students’ solar car national competition. Discussion also included the upcoming annual “Small School, Big Hearts” fundraising dinner, live and silent auctions, and family dance party which will be held at Round Top Rifle Assoc. Hall on Feb. 7. Meal tickets are $20 and include a delicious two-meat BBQ plate catered by the hall from 5-6 p.m. To-Go plates will be available, as well. RT Rifle Association Hall
“Monday Night Burgers” in Round Top refers to the beloved Round Top Rifle Association “Monday Night Social,” where volunteers serve classic burgers, hot dogs, breaded chicken sandwiches, along with fries or onion rings from 5:30-8 p.m. on the first, second, and third Mondays of each month for community fellowship. All proceeds benefit the Round Top Rifle Association. The community is always invited.
Round Top Schützen Verein
In 2024, Round Top Schutzen Verein Preservation Inc. 501c3 was established to preserve, restore, and maintain the historic Round Top Rifle Hall so that it continues to serve the community and future generations. Their first fundraising gala, Steins and Stars, will be held Saturday, Feb. 28. Guests will enjoy a ribeye steak dinner catered by Big Boys Catering, a live auction, and music by The Bandits with dancing. A few tables and single tickets are still available. Go to

Round Top Family Library
The Round Top Family Library, under the direction of new Executive Director, Katey Crowley, and Library Manager, Keelia Ritch, offers adults a variety of resources well beyond those of a traditional lending library including free public WIFI, yoga and exercise classes, senior gaming, book clubs, and educational FYI lecture series. Bethlehem Lutheran Church
Bethlehem Lutheran Church, lead by Pastor John David Nedbalek, meets for worship Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Adonation drive for the month of January has been organized to collect hand sanitizer, tissues, disinfecting wipes, dry erase markers, eraser caps, and pencils for teachers. The church encourages the congregation to bring food items each Sunday morning for the AMEN Food Pantry, as well.
St. Paul Lutheran Church
St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby, lead by Pastor John David Nedbalek, holds Sunday morning worship services at 8 a.m. Fellowship, Coffee, and Sunday School follow at 9:30 a.m. Game Day is held the first Wednesday at 2 p.m. Quilting is held the third Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.
St. Martin’s Catholic Church
The world’s smallest Catholic church, St. Martin’s, celebrates mass monthly on the first Tuesday of each month at 8 a.m. for the intentions left on the altar. The church is open daily and is located one mile east of Warrenton at 3490 Hwy 237, Round Top.
St. John’s Lutheran Church
St. John’s is part of the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. Jen Kindsvatter serves as the lead pastor. Worship with Holy Communion is every Sunday at 8:30 a.m.
RT Christian Fellowship
Round Top Church Christians Fellowship, lead by Pastor Matthew Diehl, meets at 8:45 a.m. for Bible Study, followed by a 10 a.m. service. They are located at 440 E. Mill Street in Round Top.
St. Cecilia’s Episcopal Church
William B. “Father Bill” Miller is the founder and priest of Saint Cecilia’s Round Top. Saint Cecilia’s currently meets Sundays at 8:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. at the Haw Creek Chapel in Henkel Square. Men’s Bible Study Group
About 25-30 Round Top and surrounding area men meet each Wednesday from 7-8 a.m. at the Round Top Coffee Shop on 111 W. Wantke St. in Round Top. The group recently began studying the book of Galatians and invite men of all denominations to join their study.
