Tractor Burns in Holman

La Grange Volunteer Fire Department put out a tractor fire near Holman on Saturday, Aug. 9.

La Grange Fire Chief Frank Menefee said the call came in around 11:22 a.m. reporting a tractor on fire at property along Anton Salas Loop. Upon arrival, Menefee said a New Holland tractor with a shredder attached was burning. He said the operator had been shredding a pasture.

Menefee said the fire appeared to have started from an electrical issue. The tractor was destroyed, but they were able to disconnect the shredder and salvage it.

Firefighters put out the blaze and left the scene around 12:06 p.m., Menefee said.
