    Sheriff Korenek Details April Cases, Arrests, and Jail Activity

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports activities of Fayette County Sheriff Deputies for the month of April.

Deputy Ty Roggenkamp responded to the area of Rolling Hill Drive in La Grange, for a welfare check. An intoxicated male subject was located and was placed under arrest for public intoxication.

Deputy Noah Geer attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Interstate 10 near Schulenburg. The vehicle fled and eventually came to a stop in Flatonia. Two subjects fled on foot but were apprehended.

Deputy Jason Fowler responded to the Mullins Prairie Store in reference to a male subject causing issues. The male was placed under arrest for public intoxication. Deputy Fowler also responded to an address off of Munke Road to assist with a shooting call.

Sergeant Duane Meagher responded to a disturbance off of Janssen Lane. A report was taken for harassment and threatening to publish intimate visual material. A warrant was issued for one charge and the other charge was presented to a grand jury. Sgt. Meagher also responded to a structure fire on Loehr Road. A report was taken.

Deputy James Ulbig met with a subject in the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office in reference to fraud. A report was taken.

Deputy Chris Stansberry took a report in regards to loose livestock. Deputy Stansberry also transported a juvenile subject to a juvenile detention center in Victoria. Deputy Cody Williams responded to a residence in the 2300 block of Lidiak Road in reference to a burglary. A report was taken and an investigation is on-going.

Deputy Terry Guentert responded to a residence in the Muldoon area in reference to a domestic disturbance. A male subject had assaulted his wife and left the scene. A report was taken and a warrant was issued.

Deputy Joshua Jones responded to a residence in Ellinger in reference to violation of a protective order. One male was taken into custody for violation of a protective order and failure to identify. Deputy Jones also assisted with the shooting call on Munke Road.

Sergeant Angela Lala is working an active case against a male individual for failing to register as a sex offender annually. Charges were accepted for failing to register and the case will be presented to a grand jury.

Jail Administrator Brad Neville reports that Fayette County correction officers booked in 48 individuals for the month of April. Neville reports that the Jail Staff transported eight individuals to Texas Department of Criminal Justice facilities throughout the State to begin serving their sentences for crimes committed in Fayette County.
