Shelter Update

As of Jan. 16, the total 2026 intake for the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter is 54: 44 dogs and 10 cats in need. There are 68 animals in care: 52 dogs and 16 cats.

Help the shelter help them. The shelter is always looking for dog walkers, kitten cuddlers, laundry washers, and puppy bathers. You won’t regret volunteering.

The Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter is open 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday for all normal operations.
