Senior Connections A Hub For Active Seniors
In the charming communities of Fayette County and Colorado County, social interaction among seniors has never been more critical. At Senior Connections, we proudly provide a warm gathering place for active seniors, encouraging them to come together, share healthy, homecooked meals, and enjoy one another’s company.
On Monday, Feb. 24 in Schulenburg, doors open at 9 a.m., welcoming members to a fun-filled morning. Join for games, including dominoes, cards, and challenging puzzles, while enjoying a cup of coffee and a sweet treat. This week, lunch features a homecooked meal of chicken pot pie, spinach salad paired with cornbread, and a dessert lovingly crafted by one of our members.
A special highlight of the day is the latest partnership with Schulenburg High School. Faithful regular Monday members will be paired with high school seniors for an interview session, where they will share their life stories and experiences. This initiative is part of a three-part series aimed at compiling a booklet of memories to be treasured by their families. Some participants may even record their voices as they share their stories or bring photos to include in this keepsake.
To top off a fulfilling day, a lively bingo game will be hosted and led by Lindsey Gutierrez from Schulenburg Regency Home Health. Don’t miss the chance to win exciting prizes.
