No Charges in Altercation at Antiques Store
They say one person’s trash is another person’s treasure. That proverb played out on the Courthouse Square in La Grange earlier this month as two women got into a shoving match at an antiques shop.
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reported that police responded to the altercation, which took place Thursday,April 2, at one of the businesses on the Square. Gilbreath said one of the women had thrown away some items in the trash. Someone else had picked them up from the curb. The woman then noticed that an item she threw away was being offered for sale at the antiques store.
“The woman who threw it away didn’t like it,” Gilbreath said. “One said the other pushed her, and one of them fell down.”
Gilbreath said police determined that the altercation was mutual in nature. No charges have been filed at this time, he said.
