New Muldoon Park Board Planning Parade, Auction, and Family Fun for 250th Anniversary
Big plans are being made by the new board members of the Muldoon ParkAssociation. They are working hard to reestablish the fun and friendly community celebration. The parade will be starting at 10 a.m. with everything else to follow. They are looking for some fun and interesting auction items to help raise funds to keep and maintain the park.
If you would like to meet these new board members be sure and attend! They are planning a safer parade route, have already got the hot dogs lined up to grill, and are trying hard to plan a fun and festive time to celebrate our nation’s 250th anniversary.
It is also time to start planning those parade entries! Get out the fun decorations and start planning on decorating side by sides, bicycles, trucks, tractors and even yourself to join in and have fun. Muldoon is coming alive for this fun event.

Out And About
Last weekend, Pam Sheffield’s two daughters, Sarah and Allison and her granddaughter Hayley came in for the weekend. They were celebrating Sarah‘s 40th birthday as well as helping to give Pam‘s niece, Lindsey, a baby shower. Friday afternoon was spent shopping in La Grange at Second Chance and the antique stores on the square. Then they went to Flatonia to the Rhinestone Angel, and picked up barbecue at Joel’s. On Saturday, the girls traveled to Canyon Lake to Pam‘s sister‘ s house where the shower was to be held. It was a fun baby shower with good food and presents and seeing lots of family. When the ladies returned to Flatonia on Saturday afternoon, they finished shopping at Rhinestone Angel for birthday gifts and had dinner at Robert’s Steakhouse. The next morning was a late breakfast at Darlin’s Diner before the girls traveled back home.
Weather
Muldoon has been seeing some rain as of late. Amounts have varied in the area, but everyone has gotten rain. There also have been some strong winds with these storms and have blown some limbs down and other items that were not secured. The pastures and tanks have really been looking much better since these storms blew through leaving some much needed moisture, setting us up for the hot summer months.
Reminder
School is out and that does mean kids are out and about in the area. Watch out for them as they enjoy their summer time off.
