LGPD Answers Accidents, Theft, Family Violence Calls During Weekly Report
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of May 10-17.
Accident
On May 11, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 400 block of E. Travis for a possible hit and run in the HEB Parking lot. Officer was unable to find footage of it on the security cameras.
On May 14, Officer Adrian Ortiz was dispatched to the 400 block of W. Travis for an accident.
Agency Assist
On May 10, Sgt. Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 100 block of Halsted Road for an agency assist.
Animal Complaint
On May 12, Animal Control officer Leslie Yezakl reported a bat in a trash can in the 200 block of W. Colorado.
On May 12, Officer Yezakl went to the 100 block of S. Main for kitten under a trailer.
On May 12, Officer Yezakl responded to the 200 block of S. Jefferson for a dog welfare check.
On May 15, Officer Adrian Ortiz was dispatched to the 600 block of N. Monroe for an animal complaint.
Civil Matter
On May 10, Sgt. Maxwell was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Guadalupe for a civil matter.
Citizen Assist
On May 16, Officer Meinardus took a call from an individual that advised his exgirlfriend was refusing to exit the vehicle.
Disturbance
On May 17, Officer Jose Garza responded to the 300 block of N. Horton for a verbal disturbance.
Family Violence
On May 13, Sgt. Maxwell was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Franklin for family violence call.
Juvenile Complaint
On May 11, Officer Meinardus took a report from a subject that advised their daughter stayed with a friend and did not attend school. Officer Meinardus located the daughter and returned her home.
Littering
On May 14, Sgt. Maxwell was dispatched to the 600 block of E. Guadalupe regarding trash in his yard.
Parking Violation
On May 17, Offier Meinardus took a call in regards to two trucks with trailers parked in the 100 block of Northwest Circle creating a blind spot for a stop sign.
Stalking
On May 16, Officer Meinardus took a call from a complainant advising that a subject is stalking her and she saw him at Walmart.
Suspicious Vehicle
On May 10, Officer Ortiz responded to the 900 block of Mode Lane for a suspicious vehicle.
On May 16, Officer Garza responded to the 300 block of Northpoint in reference to a suspicious vehicle.
Scam
On May 15, Officer Meinardus took a report of a scam call using a La Grange phone number.
Theft
On May 13, Officer Ortiz was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Pearl in regard to theft.
