Hwy. 71 Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on the evening of May 27, Deputy Jose Mosqueda initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation on Hwy. 71 near Boening Rd.

During the course of the stop a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and multiple cases containing hundreds of assorted THC vape pens were located inside the vehicle.

The driver, Edward Segura age 34, of Buda was arrested for the offense of Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2. Segura was taken into custody and booked into the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
