Holy Cross Announces June Vacation Bible School

Holy Cross in Warda will have Vacation Bible School June 15-17 from 6-8 p.m. The Adventure to Remember theme is “Are We There Yet?” In this VBS we will remember Moses-from the Nile to the Burning Bush…..from Plagues to Passover….from Red Sea to Wilderness-and through it all, we see God’s love, protection, and salvation. BBQ at Camp Lone Star Camp Lone Star in La Grange will have their Annual BBQ Auction and Fundraiser on Sunday, July 26. They are looking for donations of quality auction items. Summer Camp registration, including their day camp program, for campers age 5-18 is also open. Register at www.camplonestar. org.

Serbin Jackrabbits 

The Serbin Jackrabbits will play Weimer at Serbin on May 31 at 3 p.m.

Sewing Circle 

The Sewing Circle meets each Thursday from 9 a.m.noon in the old parish hall at Holy Cross in Warda. This is around the back side of the church. No experience is necessary and you do not have to be a church member to join this fun group. Contact the church office at (979) 2423333 if you have any questions.

 Game Day at Holy Cross The next Game Day at Holy Cross in Warda will be held Thursday, June 18 from noon-2 p.m. A light lunch is served. There is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo and dominoes are offered.

BBQ Pork Steak Dinner St. Paul Lutheran Adult Fellowship in Serbin will have a BBQ Pork Steak Dinner on Sunday, June 21 from 10 a.m.-noon at the Serbin picnic grounds. Advance plate ticket sales only for $15 and all are to-go. Contact the church office for tickets (979) 3669650. All proceeds will go toward future church/school projects.

Holy Cross Services 

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.

The Church Youth Group will meet on Sunday, June 14 at 11 a.m. They meet monthly on the 2nd Sunday. All youth 5th grade through high school are invited to join.
