Highway 77 Repair Project Start Date Pushed Back to June 1

Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) pushed back the start date for their US 77 repair project to June 1 due to the weather forecast. TxDOT plans to conduct repairs on the US 77 roadway through La Grange. The project involves a full-depth reconstruction of the roadway from the SH 71 Bypass to FM 155. The project is expected to take five month to complete. The portion of US 77 from the Bypass to Travis St. will be closed to through-traffic, which will be detoured via the Bypass and Business 71 on the west side of town. Local traffic will still be able to access the closed portion of the roadway.
