The Flatonia Junior Livestock Show was held Jan. 1618. Listed are the grand and reserve champion winners.

Henley Lesikar exhibited the grand champion steer. It sold for $9,000 at auction. Buyers were 3D Ranches, Ecobox, Oversea Casing, Dan-Hill Containers, Chuck Brown Ford, J-B Foods, DK Refidgeration/ A.C., Adam’s extract & spice, Cross Door & Trim, Oak Grove Vet Clinic, David & Lori Janecka, Colorado Valley Telephone Coop., Giddings Livestock Commission, The Outhouse Co., Kutac Farms, Dee’s Cattle Ltd., Fayette Savings, L & W Weatherstripping, Steve & Renee Bludau, Capital Monuments, Chris & Morgan Baumbach, Flatonia Livestock Commission, Grahmann’s True Value, Matt & Valerie Targac, Partners Insurance, Hopkins Ranch, Henry Kallus, and Denise Greive.

Adalyn Carrales exhibited the reserve champion steer. It sold for $7,200 at auction. Pigs

Alexis Berkenhoff exhibited the grand champion hog. The pig sold for $6,000 at auction. Buyers were RES Construction, Balcones Minerals, Lone Star Cattlemen Foundation, Lamar James, Elgin & Elyse Kristinik, Capital Farm Credit, Douglas Mica Soil Service, Gilbert & Arlene Velasquez, Berger Cattle Co., Colorado Valley Telephone Coop., DK Refidgeration/ A.C., Texas Farm & Ranch Solution LLC, Judge Dan & Vi Mueller, Joe & Roxanne Orsak, Roy & Melba Beken, Cattlemans Columbus Livestock Auction, Arnold Kasmiersky, Jr., El Campo Livestock Exchange LLC, Lexington Livestock, Berkenhoff Feed & Supply, Bill & Anne Goldsmith, Andrew & Susan Velasquez, Steve’s Station LLC, Flatonia Livestock Commission, and JTI Ag Transport, LLC.

Kullen Kutac exhibited the grand champion lamb. It sold for $6,000 at auction. Chickens

Emma Kosler exhibited the grand champion broilers. The chickens sold for $3,300 at auction. Sarah Ponewash exhibited the reserve champion broilers. Her chickens sold for $2,145 at auction. Buyers were Balcones Minerals, Mica Electric, Blake Craig Construction, DK Refidgeration/A.C., Keith & Paula Gold, Heartbrand Beef, Dee’s Cattle Ltd., and Colby Parker Craig Foundation.

Rabbits

Reagan Richter exhibited the grand champion rabbits. They sold for $3,300 at auction.
