Flatonia ISD Musicians Shine at UIL State Solo & Ensemble Contest

Congratulations to all of Flatonia ISD’s state-qualifying musicians who performed at the UIL State Solo & Ensemble Contest. “Their hard work, dedication, and countless hours of preparation truly paid off, and we are so proud of each of them for representing our program and school with excellence,” said Justin Bartlett, Flatonia ISD Director of Bands.

The Percussion Ensemble comprised of Tegan Sullivan, Janelly Olvera, Nevaeh Willis, Valeria Aguillon, and Jesus Vargas earned a Division 2 (Excellent) rating In Percussion Solo, Tegan Sullivan earned a Division 3 (Good) rating.

Huge congratulations go to the Flute Trio of Rylie Noska, Kalyn McDougal, and Emily Haynes for earning a Division 1 (Superior) rating, the highest rating possible.

“We are incredibly proud of all of these musicians for their dedication, growth, and outstanding performances at the state level,” Bartlett said. “Way to go.”
