Fayette County Deputies Make Multiple Arrests, Respond to Fires and Fraud Reports in February

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports activities of Fayette County Sheriff Deputies for the month of

February.

Deputy Ty Roggenkamp responded to a report of suspicious activity on East State Highway 71. Multiple subjects were located diving through dumpsters. One of the subjects had an active felony warrant for their arrest and she was arrested on that warrant.

Deputy Wesly Arrison was dispatched to CH Allen Road in reference to an inquest. Deputy Arrison also responded to a structure fire in Winchester. A victim was burned and was transported to a local hospital and is expected to recover. The fire was deemed accidental.

Deputy Jose Mosqueda took multiple fraud reports from the citizens of Fayette County. Deputy Mosqueda also conducted a traffic stop on State Highway 71 and the operator of the vehicle was arrested for driving while license invalid (Class B Misdemeanor).

Deputy Noah Geer took a report of fraud. Deputy Geer also took a report of an accidental gunshot wound. The victim was hit by shrapnel after shooting on his own property.

Deputy Jason Fowler responded to a structure fire on FM 955. A greenhouse was damaged in the fire. Deputy Fowler also responded to FM 155 for an inquest. A report was taken.

Deputy Joe Gonzales re-sponded to a fire near Waldeck Road and Albers Road. A skid steer was damaged in the fire. Deputy Gonzales also responded to the 700 block of Jares Lane near Flatonia for a fire that consumed several hay bales and some fencing. A report was taken.

Sergeant Duane Meagher responded to a structure fire in the 300 block of Turkey Creek in Ledbetter. The fire was deemed accidental, the American Red Cross was contacted to assist the resident.

Deputy James Ulbig responded to assist Deputy Terry Guentert with a suspicious person call. The call resulted in the arrest of two subjects for multiple charges.

Deputy Chris Stansberry assisted another deputy with an investigation. Deputy Stansberry also conducted a mental health transport.

Deputy Herman Olvera assisted Schulenburg Police Department with a traffic stop that resulted in three subjects being arrested for organized retail theft. Deputy Olvera also took a report from a citizen after their political sign was vandalized.

Deputy Cody Williams responded to an EMS call on Old Waelder Road and assisted Flatonia Police until EMS arrived. Deputy Williams also conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 10. During the stop, a large sum of currency was located, wrapped and bundled inside a secret compartment on the vehicle. The driver was charged accordingly.

Deputy Josh Jones conducted a traffic stop on US Highway 290. A probable cause search led to the discovery of a large amount of narcotics. The two occupants were arrested for the narcotics and warrants. Deputy Jones also responded to Barton Oaks Drive in reference to an intoxicated subject. The subject had an arrest warrant out of Bastrop County and was taken into custody on that warrant.

Jail Administrator Brad Neville reports that Fayette County Correction Officers booked in 62 individuals for the month of February. Neville reports that the Jail Staff transported 10 individuals to Texas Department of Criminal Justice Facilities throughout the State to begin serving their sentences for crimes committed in Fayette County.
