Fayette Sheriff Keith Korenek reports activities of Fayette County Sheriff Deputies for the month of August 2025.

Deputy Ty Roggenkamp responded to Winchester in reference to a reckless driver. The driver was an elderly male with dementia that was reported missing from Oklahoma. EMS responded and the driver was ultimately reunited with his family.

Deputy Mark Pritchard took a hospice inquest report on Carmine Cemetery Road. Deputy Pritchard also assisted Deputy Noah Geer on multiple calls.

Deputy Wesly Arrison responded to a residence on Carmine Cemetery Road in reference to fraud. Deputy Arrison also responded to the 5900 block of Kovar Road in reference to theft.

Deputy Jose Mosqueda transported a male subject to an Austin area hospital for mental treatment. Deputy Mosqueda also responded to an address in the 5900 block of State Highway 159 in La Grange in reference to a disturbance. A male subject was arrested for public intoxication.

Deputy Noah Geer investigated a single vehicle accident near Round Top. Deputy Geer also arrested a male subject for public intoxication.

Deputy Jason Fowler responded to Post Oak Road near La Grange in reference to property damage, a report was taken. Deputy Fowler also made multiple arrests for public intoxication, including an individual at the county fair.

Deputy Joe Gonzales responded to a tractor fire on Anton Salas Loop, a report was taken. Deputy Gonzales also transported a subject to a Georgetown hospital for mental treatment.

Sergeant Duane Meagher responded to an intoxicated female causing issues at a residence on State Highway 71 near La Grange. The female had admitted to family to taking an unknown number of pills. The female attempted to run from Sgt. Meagher but was promptly caught. The female was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

Deputy James Ulbig was dispatched to a structure fire on Luther Hill Road near La Grange. A report was completed. Deputy Ulbig also responded to an irate subject at the local country club in La Grange. The subject was criminally trespassed from the location.

Deputy Chris Stansberry responded to an inquest on Slojohn Lane near Flatonia. Deputy Stansberry also transported a subject to Rock Springs Mental Hospital for treatment.

Deputy Herman Olvera responded to the Cistern area for a juvenile who was making terroristic threats. The juvenile was evaluated and transported to a mental hospital for treatment.

Deputy Cody Williams attempted to stop a vehicle on Interstate 10 for an infraction. The vehicle fled, Texas DPS successfully used stop sticks on the vehicle, and the driver and passenger were taken into custody for Evading and drug related charges. Deputy Williams also conducted a traffic stop on a Porsche for an expired tag. The vehicle was stolen and the driver had a warrant out for his arrest. The driver was arrested.

Deputy Terry Guentert was dispatched to the West Point area in reference to a male subject having health issues. The subject was checked by EMS and refused any treatment.

Sergeant Angela Lala took a report where a citizen paid a large sum of money for a tiny home, but it was never delivered. An investigation is on going.

Sergeant Ron Naumann took a report of theft in the Ellinger area. A traffic sign and post had been stolen from an intersection in town.

Jail Administrator Brad Neville reports that Fayette County Correction Officers booked in 35 individuals for the month of August. Neville reports that the Jail Staff transported two individual(s) to Texas Department of Criminal Justice Facilities throughout the State to begin serving their sentences for crimes committed in Fayette County.
